Seniors Participation Framework 2016-19 Discussion Paper

The Territory Government has released a draft Strong Seniors: Seniors Participation Framework 2016-19 Discussion Paper for public consultation.
The draft framework lays the foundations for future policies to support our ageing population and aligns with the Framing the Future strong society and confident culture strategic goals.
All Territorians, in particular seniors are encouraged to have their say and provide feedback on the draft framework.聽
Feedback can be provided through a short confidential online survey until 15 February 2016.聽The Office of Senior Territorians can also be contacted at ost@nt.gov.au or 08 8999 3861.

Multicultural Participation Framework 2016-19 Discussion Paper

The Territory Government has released a Multicultural Participation Framework 2016-19 Discussion Paper with the purpose seeking feedback and input from all Territorians on the issues that affect our multicultural communities.
Territorians are encouraged to have their say and provide feedback on the draft framework. 聽
Comments and feedback can be provided through taking a confidential short online survey until 15 February 2016.聽 Input can also be provided through the Office of Multicultural Affairs at multicultural.dcm@nt.gov.au or 08 8999 3891.

New Education Act and Education Regulations to commence on 1 January 2016

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the draft Education Bill 2015. The new Education Act and Education Regulations will commence on 1 January 2016 and provide a framework for delivering high quality, contemporary education to develop Northern Territory students' potential and maximise their educational achievement.
The Act and Regulations and further supporting documents are available online.
While the majority of provisions will commence on 1 January 2016, there will be a transitional period to allow for some changes to take effect at a later date.
