Success Stories
By implementing the GenYES program at my school, my third grade students became leaders and mentors for teachers, other students, their parents, and local business leaders in our community.
Kathy Brookshire
Meridian, Mississippi
I have been very, very proud of the work our students have done and how they reflect the use of 21st Century skills. From them, I have received a video on animal cruelty, an illustrated book of poems, a movie on snowmobiling, an illustrated children鈥檚 book, and much, much more. Not only have the students completed projects that interest them, but the skills they have learned will last them a lifetime.
Mary Buddenhagan
St. Johnsville, New York
I cannot express how much I appreciate the great assistance [the STLs] have given me. 聽They are not only extremely knowledgeable, but have attitudes that always show they want to help people.
Janet Hastings
Duvall, Washington
I am amazed.聽 This room is running itself.聽 The kids understand the GenYES site, and know exactly what to do.聽 A few of the kids are already certified鈥 For a split second there I was almost annoyed at being bored and having shockingly little to do.聽 Then I realized that I have nothing to do because the kids are all working, focused, and helping each other!聽 What a wonderful reason to be bored!
