Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 Review
By Itai Danan On May 28, 2016 middot; Add Comment The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 is the world #8217;s only premium travel zoom. Not only does it feature advanced photographic controls with dual control-dials and an EVF with Eye-Start sensor, it also matches its 25-250mm equivalent zoom with a large 20 megapixels 1 #8243; CMOS sensor which is making the rounds among premium compacts.
This lets the ZS100 deliver high image quality with good low-light performance in a pocket-size form factor even with a relatively long 10X optical zoom lens. This compact camera records 4K Ultra-HD video at 30 FPS and 1080p ones at 60 FPS.
A in-depth review of the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100 was recently published at Neocamera. Read it to find out how Panasonic managed to deliver this unique product and make it one of the compelling digital cameras of 2016.
Fuji X-Pro2 Review
By Itai Danan On May 17, 2016 middot; Add Comment Fuji stunned with world with their entry into the mirrorless cameras with the X-Pro1 which landed at the high-end of market along with a trio of prime lenses. Four years later, they unveiled its successor, continuing with the rangefinder-style body but making it weatherproof and introducing a new 24 megapixels APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor with built-in Phase-Detection.
Although lots of competitors have appeared among high-end mirrorless cameras, Fuji is holding its own thanks to their unique color-filter-array which stands moire without any anti-alias filter. A speedy hybrid shutter allows the X-Pro2 to maintain a full 8 FPS and capture frames at 1/32000s, making it one of the fastest mirrorless cameras around.
Neocamera just published a detailed review of the Fuji X-Pro2. Read it to see how this new top-of-the-line mirrorless performs and compares. Be sure to check the side-by-side crops comparing it to the Fuji X-Pro1 if you are considering upgrading from its predecessor.
Canon EOS Rebel T6s Review
By Itai Danan On February 19, 2016 middot; Add Comment The Canon EOS Rebel T6s and T6i took the Rebel family to 24 megapixels with an APS-C CMOS sensor which features built-in Phase-Detect AF for Live-View and video. Of the two, the T6s also launched a new intermediate family of DSLRs with a lightweight body and efficient controls, falling right between the previous Rebel lineup and the classic EOS series.
While clearly molded after other Rebels, the T6s adds a second control-dial and top status LCD. A fast Digic 6 processor lets it shoot at 5 FPS for up to a whopping 940 frames. It supports full 1080p HD video capture and a good number of features, including DOF-Preview.
Neocamera recently published a review of the Canon EOS Rebel T6s聽which covers this new DSLR in detail.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 Review
By Itai Danan On October 21, 2015 middot; Add Comment The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 is the latest flagship mirrorless from Panasonic and features a 20 megapixels Four-Thirds sensor which has聽the highest-resolution among Micro Four-Thirds cameras. It takes the key features of its predecessor to the next level and puts them in a new weather-sealed body with tilting 2.4 MP 0.44 #8243; OLED EVF and a 3 #8243; rotating touchscreen LCD. Like the camera it replaced, the GX8 offers built-in image-stabilization. This time though, it can combine it with lens stabilization to reach a new level of stabilization.
Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX8 Review
Neocamera just reviewed this professional-level mirrorless, analyzing its usability, ergonomics, image-quality and performance. Included in the review is a gallery of full-resolution images at all ISO sensitivities and sample videos at both 1080p HD and 4K Ultra-HD resolutions, which is new to the GX8.聽Read the Panasonic GX8 review here.
Fuji X-A2 Review
By Itai Danan On September 2, 2015 middot; Add Comment The entry-level Fuji X-A2 mirrorless packs a 16 megapixels APS-C sensor in a compact camera body with dual control-dials and a tilting 3 #8243; LCD that flips up 180掳 for taking selfies. It offers more controls than the typical low-cost mirrorless with a traditional mode-dial and numerous buttons, plus a standard hot-shoe.聽Thanks to its EXR II processor the X-A2 can capture full-resolution images at 5.6 FPS and film 1080p HD video at 30 FPS.
Neocamera just published an express review of the Fuji X-A2 with a direct comparison against its sibling, the X-M1 which uses an X-Trans CMOS II processor in a nearly identical body. As always, a gallery of full-resolution images at every ISO is included. Read the review now to see results from the X-A2.
